Smells Like Toast?

I roasted 12 ounces or so of Ethiopian Harrar on Monday. I've been experimenting with preheating lately. A five minute preheat at 250 F shortened the roast by several minutes. I reached the virge of second in 12 minutes or so.

The next day, my neighbor was walking by and asked if I had been roasting the day before. I thought and responded that I had. She said, "every once in a while I smell toast and I wonder if you are roasting coffee." I dunno. I never thought the smell of roasting coffee was anything like toast.
